Addiction Support
We honor the strength and resilience it takes to navigate the complexities of addiction and recovery. At Great Oaks Therapy Center, we are committed to creating a space that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and grounded in respect for each individual’s journey. Our therapists recognize that healing from addiction often involves addressing not only behaviors but also the deeper emotional and relational wounds beneath them. We work collaboratively with clients to support recovery, self-understanding, and lasting change.

The therapists listed below have pursued additional training and/or supervision to deepen their ability to support individuals navigating addiction and recovery. Please note: If a therapist is not listed, it does not necessarily mean they do not work with addiction; it simply reflects that this is not an area in which they have pursued specialized training or supervision at this time.

Jacob brings firsthand experience and understanding to supporting clients navigating addiction and substance dependence. Having spent over two years providing mental health and direct care to members of the homeless community in the Lawrence–Kansas City area, he developed a compassionate awareness of the systemic and personal barriers that often accompany recovery—and offers empathetic, strengths-based support on the journey toward flourishing.
