Meet Lindsay

Hello! I’m Lindsay! I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Kansas studying Counseling Psychology. I graduated with my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and graduated from Harvard University in 2023 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

I am deeply curious and welcoming to all! I have really enjoyed working with clients from all backgrounds. I emphasize person-centered therapy and collaboration, meaning that I believe you are the expert on your own life and that therapy works best when we collaborate to figure out what you need and what feels most meaningful to you. I have wide-ranging experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. In therapy, I aim to create a safe and comfortable space where you can be yourself, explore your experiences without judgment, and work through whatever may be bringing you to therapy. I also believe that therapy is about more than just addressing challenges; it can be an opportunity to better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and make changes that feel right for you.

When I am not focusing on my clinical work, I am a researcher. I currently work in the Cultural Disc Lab at KU, where my research focuses on how clinicians can provide better services to clients from all backgrounds. I am also a graduate research assistant for Juniper Gardens Children’s Project, where I support a grant-funded initiative serving rural schools.

I am originally from Northern California, grew up playing a variety of sports, and pursued a collegiate softball career. I love exploring new places and connecting with community members through community events and food!

I aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we work together toward the changes you want to make.
