I firmly believe that everyone has within them what they need to overcome their problems, achieve their goals, and improve their lives. Sometimes, we just need some support to help us figure out who we are and what is important to us to bring about change. I strive to be a warm and caring therapist who will meet you with authenticity and “realness.” I work to strike a balance between curiosity, compassion, and challenge to establish a safe space for you to honestly explore yourself and your struggles, sit with unpleasant feelings, and develop trust in your ability to make decisions consistent with your values.
I enjoy working with youth, teens, adults, couples, and families. I have experience treating a variety of issues and concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, loneliness, emotional dysregulation and awareness, men’s issues, as well as family and relationship problems in a wide variety of orientations. I also have experience providing affirming care to individuals in the LGBTQIA community.
My primary lens of treatment is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I use strategies and techniques from Internal Family Systems, Experiential Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and will also explore the somatic experience of your emotions. My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and client-focused; you are in the driver’s seat of treatment, and I am there alongside you as you move toward healing and change.
